uh yeah...she turned out a little skankier than I intended O_o.....
Anyway, I just read this marvelous tutorial by kawaiiyume, I think this is her page . I really wanted to try out some of her techniques...so I did ^^. It was fun.
Umm, the patterns on her fan , they're actually brushes I made on photoshop. They're really pictures of doilies . As for the kanji, it's supposed to say 'sakura', though, I did look it up on the internet, so god only knows what it really says .
Pretty-ful! You make brushes? Neat. I suck at everything! I can't get a hang of Photoshop...I don't know how to make brushes and crap and crap. Miss Galuoppo sucks at Media Arts...she doesn't know a heck of anything. Arrrrrr... *becomes frustrated* I don't have a stupid tablet anymore...I exchanged it for a CD player instead... Arrrr... Why can't I do digital art?!

Poor sophos *pet* *pet*. Yeah, I know Galluoppo and Graham don't know it themselves, they're learning the course the same time you guys are. I hear Sheridan college is having some nifty summer drawing courses though ^^, that might be useful.
Pretty cool piccy!!! I loooove tutorials! You learn so much and go crazy testing it out (me with making blinkies...). The kanji for sakura is correct too (it's common test word for us in spring. )
lol haha XD;
Nice picture of Sakura--modern day with her mp3 player ne ?
I guess I like her better now that she's not so annoying ^__~V
Love the shading, I think you did a pretty good job

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
